Ryan Gurr

Corporate Development & Strategy Manager

Ryan is the Corporate Development and Strategy Manager at the WISE Scholarship Program, leading corporate and influencer partnerships. With a strategic mindset and a passion for expanding educational access, he builds meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen program sustainability and impact.

Drawing on his experience in business strategy, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit management, Ryan develops initiatives that enhance brand visibility and drive long-term support for WISE.

Driven by a vision of equitable access to education and its power to transform lives and families, he works to expand opportunities for WISE scholars through corporate engagement and strategic development, ensuring they have the resources to achieve their dreams and create lasting change in their communities.

ABOUT THE STEELE FAMILY FOUNDATION

The Steele Family Foundation is a registered Canadian charity focused on delivering long-term, sustainable change through education, humanitarian aid, and community development. As the creator and sole funder of the WISE Scholarship Program™, The Steele Family Foundation built WISE to support “Stranded Superstars”—youth with high potential but limited access—through structured development, earned financial support, and long-term guidance that extends well beyond graduation. EDUCATION: Developing programs like the WISE Scholarship Program™ that provide structured pathways from high school to career readiness.

HOMELESS/HOSPICE & ADDICTION: Collaborating with communities across Canada to implement evidence-based strategies aimed at improving homelessness systems, services, and policies, with the goal of eliminating homelessness and providing compassionate care. 

GRASSROOTS PROGRAMS: Building strong and healthy communities by supporting initiatives that foster personal well-being, safety, and community engagement, ensuring individuals have access to necessary supports and opportunities to thrive.
